About Us
Wasteland Entertainment is a Film and Television Production Company based out of Los Angeles, CA. The company was co-founded by Shelby Yardley and Brennan Karem in 2020. Wasteland Entertainment has set out to create original content in hopes of inspiring others and encourage thinking outside of the box. Although a young company, it has already produced a proof of concept for a TV series that has captured the attention of several notable networks within the first year of being active. After starting out on a hot streak, Wasteland Entertainment strives to continue creating projects with this same quality and passion for years to come.

SHELBY YARDLEY
Co-Founder | Producer | Actress

Shelby was raised in a suburb of Wichita, KS, where she spent most of her life as an athlete. It wasn't until college that Shelby decided to take acting lessons. From there, her love and passion grew for the entertainment industry.
​
Since moving to Los Angeles, CA, Shelby has been busy in front of the camera starring in films such as A Life Lived with Denise Richards, Smuggling in Suburbia, and most recently in the lead role for Driven to Kill on the Lifetime Network.
​
Not only does Shelby have a passion for acting, she also enjoys being behind the camera just as much. She has credits as a Colorist on various projects, ranging from the pilot Space Command, starring Doug Jones (Shape of Water) and Richard Picardo (Star Trek: Voyager), short film S41NT, starring Phil LaMarr (Family Guy, Pulp Fiction), feature film Ask Me to Dance, commercial work, and documentaries.
Shelby co-founded Wasteland Entertainment in hopes of creating content that will make others feel inspired, the way she has felt time and time again. Recently, she has been working hard to create and produce original content that does just that. Shelby is in the process of pitching Wasteland Entertainment's pilot, Calabasas Criminals, starring Malcolm Goodwin (iZombie), with many other projects currently in pre-production set to film in 2023.
BRENNAN KAREM

Early in life, Brennan grew up in Maryland, about 20 minutes outside of Washington, DC. He had a creative mind and an itch to create films since he was a young boy. He would gather kids to create films out of his neighborhood. Anything he could do to tell stories, he did it.

Brennan is an award-winning Director and VFX Artist who has spent the last 12 years working in the entertainment industry. He's worked with some of the industry's top giants, including Marshmello, Alesso, Armin Van Buuren, Lele Pons, Shots Studios, and Netflix- just to name a few. He also directed and animated an award-winning short film called "Fatherhood" that won first place and captured the attention of a senior director at Disney. Recently he won the Outstanding Achievement Award in Visual FX for a short film submitted to festivals.

The most important thing to Brennan is telling a good human story that relates to true human emotions- no matter how odd or obscure. Which is why he co-founded Wasteland Entertainment, to do just that. Tell fascinating stories that an audience can connect with.

Currently, Brennan is working to get Calabasas Criminals sold along with Shelby. Keep an eye out for a few of his upcoming projects releasing that include his VFX work. Brennan has also been spending a large amount of time bridging the gap between the film industry and the NFT world.
WYATT KAREM

Wyatt is a Los Angeles based Writer and Actor. Like Brennan, he originally grew up in Maryland, later moving to New York and Los Angeles to further his career. Over the years, Wyatt has written and starred in several of his own projects. He is also an award-winning video editor with over 7 years of experience. Currently, Wyatt is working as Wasteland's company assistant to expand his knowledge and training in the industry. On top of that, he is the creator of his successful TikTok channel focusing on comedy and reviews of all things TV/Film. Wyatt has several completed scripts he is working to bring to life and a personal goal of adding his own touch to comedy in Hollywood.
